The Father’s Day carry-in went well. There was lots of varieties of food. Thank you to all our helpers. The winners of the Father’s Day raffle were Patty Newman and Mary Knapke.
We extend a big thank you to Pete, Mary and Lauren for conducting the raffle.
The breakfast was so well attended we ran out of food. We sincerely apologize for that. Every effort will be made to correct that problem in the future. We certainly had more people attending than anticipated.
During bingo Jim and Barb shared cake and punch to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Thank you to Jim and Barb for conducting the fishing derby. Sorry, but I do not have last names. The girl’s category Shyla had most and Bre had smallest. In the boy’s category Max had largest. Lucas had smallest and Hayden had most. Each participant entered a ticket with their name on it. As the tickets were drawn the fisherman could choose a prize. Every participant was able to get a prize.
The band was not very good. We sincerely apologize for that. However, the performers were not the same ones we witnessed in the performance when they were booked.
We had 54 participants in the poker run. We extend a big thank you to Jim and Barb for conducting the run and to Kathy Cotrell who always does a check station for the run. We would also like to thank the other volunteers who ran check stations. The winners were: 1st place Teresa Mays, 2nd place Sharon Holsapple, 3rd place Kara Mays and 4th place Doris Taylor.
The boat float was absolutely beautiful. The ones that conducted the ceremony were Dave and Denise Huffman, Steve Stewart, Jim, Barb and Cathy launched the boats. A special thank you to all the vets (you are what this is all about). We appreciate Keith, Wendy, Skip and Sue for allowing the whole campground to invade their lots for this service and also all the prep work they did before hand. Thank you to all of you. We also like to thank Pete, Mary and Lauren for running the 50/50. That was the biggest 50/50 we have ever had with $500.00. Joe Mantz won that drawing. Thank you Aiden for drawing the lucky ticket. Because of scheduling we ended up finishing the launch while there was still light. The boats and candles were totally visible and there were many, many campers commented that it was much better than when it is done in total dark. So for the future this will probably be the time we will begin the service. Thank you campers for your input.
A big thank you to Keith, Wendy and Cathy Carver for the Monte Carlo night. It was great and lots of fun for participants. Seems we need to set up more tables to accommodate all the players though.
