The water has been turned on. Please enjoy the season and have a Happy Easter.

1. Water Turn-on: The clubhouse bathrooms now have water. We are able to put heat in the clubhouse so small risk of freezing. The weather forecast looks promising for a Sat April 8th turn-on. Will advise if anything changes.

2. Camper water hookup: Each Spring and Fall the health department inspects the campground and notifies us of any violations of the health regulations. One of the items that they check is the use of the proper National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) 61 certified hose connection to each camper. Our understanding of this regulation is that the sunlight can cause an unapproved hose to become a hazard to your health. The NSF 61 hose has been manufactured in a way that does not cause a health issue. The hose as it connects to your camping unit needs to be a NSF 61 hose.

3. Wifi :; All AP units are on line and the height of AP at C7 has been increased for more coverage. I am adding another incoming line to the wifi service effectively doubling the bandwidth. This is expected to be in place by Memorial Day as I need some additional equipment ans setup.

As most know, we try to look at turning the water on in early April weather permitting. We use a simple method to determine. We look at the 10 day forecast an look for no low temperatures under 34 (slightly above freezing) on the low temperature. The ground temperature is not the problem, but rather the risers (pipes coming out of the ground) that can freeze with air temperature in an hour or so. The campgrounds is open as of April 1st but water turn-on date is still TBD. I hope you can all enjoy your sites, with water, as soon as possible.

Mother nature just will not give up. The temperature tonight is suppose to be below freezing from 2:30 AM to 8:00 AM with it dropping as low as 28/29 degrees. We can not risk the water lines freezing and cracking. The following things need to happen so Tom can re-winterize the lines:

  1. Please help and unhook your camper lines to the RV park lines at the faucet if you have attached this year.
  2. Consider your RV for the evening. You may want to keep some heat on for the evening.
  3. Tom will be shutting of the water today for the campgrounds. The time will depend on when he gets to each line. He will be at this most of the day so please don’t complain as neither he nor I want to do this work again, but we have no choice.
Water will be shut-off sometime today (Sat 4/16).
Again, sorry for the inconvenience but trying to let you know to avoid a trip if you plans were at the lake.
